Sweden drew 2–2 with Greece at Strawberry Arena on 4 June 2026 in their final match before departing for the World Cup in North America. A late equaliser denied the hosts victory after they had overturned a first-half deficit.

Kostas Tsimikas gave Greece the lead in the tenth minute, finishing from inside the Swedish penalty area. Greece maintained that advantage until the interval.

Viktor Gyökeres brought Sweden level with a free-kick in the 53rd minute, registering his 20th senior international goal. Following extensive substitutions, Sweden moved in front in the 69th minute. Taha Ali beat the Greek defence on the left and delivered the ball for Gustaf Nilsson to finish from close range.

Greece responded deep into added time. Giorgos Masouras met a delivery from Charalampos Kostoulas to score in the fifth minute of stoppage time and settle the result.

The draw concluded Sweden’s home preparations. The Swedish Football Association confirmed that the squad’s next step was departure for North America, with Dallas serving as its tournament base.
