Thorengruppen secure sixth straight title against Kalmarsund
Thorengruppen defeated FBC Kalmarsund 4–2 in the women’s Swedish championship final.
Thorengruppen IBK defeated FBC Kalmarsund 4–2 at Avicii Arena on 25 April 2026 to secure a sixth consecutive Swedish women’s floorball championship. Two goals in the third period decided a final that had remained level through its first two periods.
A crowd of 10,116 watched the teams contest the title in Stockholm, according to Svensk Innebandy’s official report. The match reached the first interval at 2–2, and a scoreless second period left the outcome unresolved heading into the last twenty minutes.
Kalmarsund created several clear chances, but Thorengruppen made their opportunities count when the deciding moments arrived. Their late breakthrough extended the club’s championship run and denied Kalmarsund the title.
The final also marked the end of Emelie Wibron’s playing career. The federation’s regional annual report credits her with a hat-trick in her farewell appearance. Dino Bavehjani’s photographs document the women’s final and the closing stage of the Swedish championship season in Avicii Arena.
